Framed / ready to hang One of the earliest major roadworks in Canada, the Louisbourg-Mira roadway was said to be wide enough for two carriages to pass. Sections of the road are still in use, having been paved and are still part of the current route system in Cape Breton, but the long original road that traverses the park interior is now truly a ghost road and in many places lays under water or is choked with impassable thicket.
