Jesus

Why is Jesus Christ so important ? Does it really matter what you believe about Jesus? Is He just a good man or a Good  teacher? Or is He who He claimed to be: God in the Flesh. Let's assume that the bible is truthful in its claims. Do you think it would be safe to ignore such an important figure in history?

First of all we matter to God and he wants to have a relationship with us. At one time we had this relationship in the Garden of Eden.

However we have all sinned and this has separated us from God  ".for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God "(Rom3:23).  You see God is Holy and Just. He is set apart from sin and He must judge sin fairly. So we are separated from him.

Most people can feel this separation and a lack of a personal relationship with our Creator. Just like when you are offside with someone in your family. The channel of communication is broken and reconciliation is needed. Like with God, we attempt to do "things", good deeds to make up for the bad deeds.

But none of us can do enough good deeds for the standard is perfection and we fall short. " are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now trying to attain your goal by human effort?"       (Gal3:3)

Worse yet is that this sin must be punished "...for the wages of sin is Death" (Rom 6:23). This is not only physical death but also spiritual death which is separation from God for eternity in Hell.

The Good News

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.(Jn3:16)

God provided a way for us to reconnect with him. Through faith in Jesus Christ. He died  in your place so that you would be reconciled back to God. " For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring us to God. "(1Peter3:18)

To know and understand this is not enough. You must admit that you have sinned against Him and ask for His forgiveness, that Jesus' death on the cross paid your debt in full.  "and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,  through faith in his blood. "(Rom 3:24-25)

Is there any reason why you would not want to cross over to the other side, be reunited with God and let him lead you?  You can and it's free for the asking. The choice is yours.
